Clear your calendar! On June 18th, you're invited to our first Future Female Founders (FFF) event. The event will be the beginning of a series of events to encourage more female entrepreneurs to start businesses and to provide a mentorship network.

 

 This initial event will be hosted in conjunction with Pinterest where we will be joined by 50 high quality females ranging from experienced founders to first-time founders to young all-stars just starting out their career. In addition to a cocktail hour, there will be  two short panels featuring Sarah Friar (CFO of Square), Mariam Naficy (CEO of Minted), Stephanie Tilenius (CEO, Vida Health), Tracy Chou (Pinterest), Melody McClosky (CEO, StyleSeat)., Tracy Dinunzio (CEO, Tradesy) and others.  


The evening will begin at 6 PM. From 6:30 - 7:00 we will host a series of panels followed by cocktails and appetizers. 

 

This event is invite only and will be hosted by Talia Goldberg, Kristina Shen, and Cecilia Stallsmith of Bessemer. We look forward to seeing you there!

Vida Health, Google, Ebay | Founder, executive

Stephanie Tilenius

Stephanie is currently the founder and CEO of Vida Health, a mobile health coach. Previously she was Vice President of Commerce and Payments at Google and the SVP & GM of eBay North America and Global Product. She was also an entrepreneur in residence at Kleiner Perkins and sits on the board of Tradesy, Redbubble, and Coach. Stephanie also is an investor in companies such as NextDoor and MyFitnessPal. 

Square | CFO 

Sarah Friar

Sarah Friar is the CFO of Square. Previously she was the Vice President of Finance and Strategy at Salesforce and was a managing director at Goldman Sachs. Sarah graduated from Oxford and received an MBA from Standford's Graduate School of Business. 

Minted | Founder & CEO

Mariam Naficy

Mariam is an e-commerce veteran and founded three successful startups, including Minted.com where she is currently the CEO. From 2003 to 2007, she served as the general manager of the e-commerce division at The Body Shop. Previously, she co-founded Eve.com, the first online cosmetics retailer. Mariam sits on the Board of Yelp and  Every Mother Counts. She started her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and is an alumna of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and Williams College.

Styleseat | Founder & CEO

Melody MccloskEy 

Melody McCloskey is co-founder and CEO of StyleSeat, one of the largest online marketplaces for beauty and wellness services. Prior to StyleSeat, Melody led digital distribution for Current TV.  More than 200,000 beauty professionals in nearly 15,000 cities use the StyleSeat platform today and more than 5.5 million beauty appointments were booked through StyleSeat in 2013 alone. Melody was recently named by Fast Company as one of its Most Creative People in Business. 

Pinterest | Software Engineer 

Tracy CHou

Tracy Chou is a software engineer and tech lead at Pinterest, currently on the monetization team; she was previously at Quora, also as an early engineer there. Tracy graduated from Stanford with an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, where she was a Terman Scholar and Mayfield Fellow. With initiatives in the workplace and the community, Tracy works actively to promote diversity in the tech industry and has pushed for greater transparency and discussion on the topic with a Github project crowdsourcing data on women in software engineering. She was named Forbes Tech 30 under 30 in 2014 and recently profiled in Vogue and Wired for her work.

Tradesy | Founder & CEO

Tracy Dinunzio

Tracy Dinunzio is the founder and CEO of Tradesy, a rapildy growing p2p marketplace for fashion. Tracy isn’t your typical Silicon Valley startup founder. She’s a painter and a self-proclaimed Bohemian. She bootstrapped the company to profitability before raising venture money. She worked tirelessly at her kitchen table, slept on the couch and rented her bedroom on AirBnB to finance early development. On October 24th, 2012, with a newly-formed team of just seven people, Tradesy officially launched. Today, Tradesy has over 70 employees and has raised $45M from Kleiner Perkins, Richard Branson, Rincon Ventures and others.
